Module spotlight: Management Reviews

Top management has to own the quality system. Management Reviews give leadership a structured, recorded view of quality performance — the inputs, the decisions, and the actions that follow.

A quality system without leadership behind it drifts. Management review is where top management looks at the whole system, decides what needs to change, and takes ownership of quality and patient safety. The Management Reviews module makes that a structured, recorded process rather than an undocumented meeting.

What you can do

  • Run structured reviews with the standard inputs — audit results, feedback, CAPA status, process performance
  • Record decisions and the actions assigned from them
  • Keep a traceable history of every review
  • Tie review outputs back to the modules they affect

Why it matters

ISO 13485 §5.6 requires management review at planned intervals, with defined inputs and outputs. A recorded, structured review demonstrates that leadership is genuinely steering the quality system — which is exactly what auditors and regulators expect to see.
