Module spotlight: Preventive Actions

The cheapest problem is the one that never happens. Preventive actions let you act on a potential issue before it becomes a real one.

By MoniDoseQMS Team

Most quality work is reactive — something went wrong, and you fix it. Preventive action is the discipline of looking ahead: spotting a potential problem and acting on it before it ever affects a product or a patient.

What you can do

  • Open preventive actions for potential problems you have identified
  • Follow a built-in guide to structure the action
  • Attach supporting evidence and track to completion
  • Connect preventive actions to the risks and trends that prompted them

Why it matters

ISO 13485 §8.5.3 expects organisations to determine and act on potential nonconformities. A dedicated preventive-action workflow makes proactive quality a tracked, demonstrable practice rather than good intentions.
