Module spotlight: Receiving Inspections

Quality starts at the loading dock. Receiving inspections make sure incoming materials meet specification before they ever enter your process.

By MoniDoseQMS Team

A defect that enters with your raw materials becomes your defect. Receiving inspections check incoming materials and components against specification before they are accepted into inventory and production.

What you can do

  • Inspect incoming materials against acceptance criteria
  • Accept, reject, or quarantine received goods
  • Link inspections to suppliers and supplier scorecards
  • Raise a non-conformance directly from a failed inspection

Why it matters

ISO 13485 §7.4.3 requires verification of purchased product. Connecting receiving inspection to supplier performance turns each delivery into data that feeds your supplier quality program.
